Security Council condemns terrorist attacks in Nigeria
The Security Council has strongly condemned the multiple terrorist attacks last week in Nigeria, which together resulted in at least 120 killed and many others injured.
The members of the Security Council on Tuesday expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims, as well as to the people and government of Nigeria, and wished a speedy recovery to those injured, said the council in a press statement.
They underlined the need to bring to justice perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of these reprehensible acts of terrorism, and urged all states to cooperate actively with the Nigerian government and all other relevant authorities in this regard.
The council members reaffirmed that acts of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security, and asked all states to combat by all means threats to international peace and security caused by terrorist
